“Had times been ‘normal’ (before and after 1914) then the music of our time would have been very different.”
Arnold Schönberg
I think this composer was one of the first inventors of the 12-tone-system.
That was rubbish! Rubbish! Rubbish i cant believe people actually applauded that let alone go and see it HA!!! the “music” of this piece is not documented the purpose is for the “performers” and the audience are asked to absorb the “sounds” of the surroundings… apparently is supposed to be powerful in some way………. YEAH RIGHT!!
AVANTE-GARDE translates from french to Front guard, it is often refferred to as something experimental in respect to art, culture or politics. John Cage is definaitley a composer who uses this, i have never seen anyone who is brave enough or crazy enough to pull something like this off.
Arnold Schonberg is famous for the 12 note scale which he invented, it is often used to create a-tonal sounds in a piece of music.
